writtle open gardens
The much-loved Writtle Gardens Open Day returns this summer, bringing our village together to celebrate gardening, community spirit and the beauty of local outdoor spaces. Held every two years and organised by the Friends of Writtle Parish Church, this special event invites residents to open their gardens for visitors to enjoy, explore and take inspiration from.
From cottage gardens to larger landscaped spaces, the day showcases the creativity and care that make Writtle such a special place to live. Visitors can spend a relaxed afternoon discovering hidden gardens, meeting neighbours and supporting the church and wider community through this popular village tradition.
This year’s event will take place on
Sunday 7th June, 12:00pm – 5:00pm. If you are a local garden owner and would like to take part by opening your garden, we would love to hear from you.
Please contact Helen at office.cwmmp@gmail.com for more information.
MESSY CHURCH
A new initiative at Writtle Church. People always think it’s just for kids, but it’s actually for everyone – church done in a very different way that engages the young and gives the adults something else to think about and do too. Join us for Messy Church on the 2nd Sunday of the month at 10am. Come along and see what you think!
