We are a warm-hearted and inclusive Christian Community worshipping in a beautiful ancient village Church in the heart of Writtle, a parish on the edge of Chelmsford.
We are a living church with a welcoming congregation. Please explore these pages for more details about services and events and getting involved with our church.
More than your ordinary or average church hall! Take a look at the regular and special events held in our 2 halls and find out how you can hire our facilities.
Many organisations and groups use the the facilities of All Saints. Please take a look at the information about each one and see how you can get involved.
The parish office at the far end of the church is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10am – 12noon,
staffed by volunteers who are ready to help you with enquiries.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website. You’ll find more information about our church, our faith, our services and activities, the latest news and calendar of what’s happening, how you can be married or bring your children for baptism here, and how to find us and contact us.
Over the summer months, the churches in Roxwell, Writtle, and Highwood are actively listening.
The purpose of this period of listening is to provide valuable input into our discerning and formulating the vision of our churches for the next five years. By the beginning of 2025 we want to have listened, reflected, and prayed, and then discussed and agreed where we should be heading and what we should be doing to serve God and our communities.
