About All Saints Church, Writtle

Welcome to All Saints. We are a fairly large church family, and enjoy worshipping together in a variety of ways each week.

Our services range from the quiet of an 8am Sunday service or morning prayers to Celebrating Together with a band and more formal Parish Eucharists with organ and choir, and from Picnic & Praise on The Green to Taizé services and ecumenical Christians Together gatherings.

We are a real mix of people, young and old, singles and families, with a huge variety of backgrounds and experiences between us, trying to share our joys and sorrows, struggles and celebrations as we journey through life together and try, but often fail, to live in the way Christ taught us.

We are fortunate to have a beautiful ancient building in which to worship, where centuries of prayers have been offered to God – a place of peace and refuge from the busyness of 21st century life.

We are in a vacancy at the moment, which means we have the privilege of having a range of different Priests celebrating with us week to week. We hope you find our website helpful, and you would be most welcome to come along and join us at any time. You’ll find more information about our church, our faith, our services and activities, the latest news via our weekly newsletter, how you can be married or bring your children for baptism here, and how to find us and contact us.
